If you have already purchased SoftRAID (and have a serial number), download the correct version. If you are not already a SoftRAID customer, or you are trying to decide whether to upgrade/update to the full version of SoftRAID, you can download SoftRAID and try for FREE for 14-days. There are no limitations to the trial, it is fully functional. You can also use the chart below to decide which version is best for you.

Maybe your OWC ThunderBay 4 RAID is getting full, passing 15% free space. Or, maybe a series job is done but may return within a year or so. Or, maybe a new assignment has surfaced and will need its own storage.

Latest SoftRAID drivers, desktop apps, and upgrades are downloaded from the website and installed on all boot drives, in each Applications folder. Launch the app to configure your fresh disks to your chosen RAID configuration. Serialize additional boot partitions as described above.

I produce labels and plastic dust-free storage cases for both the original RAID set to be pulled and archived, and for the second set going in. Chosen case colors: green for outbound set 1, orange for incoming set 2.

Beginning with the release of OS X Mountain Lion (version 10.8), there is only one Administrative tool, an app called "Server", which can be bought and downloaded from the Mac App Store, and is updated independently of OS X. This Server tool is used to configure, maintain and monitor one or more macOS Server installations.

On April 21, 2022, Apple announced that they have discontinued macOS Server and that the most popular features (Caching Server, File Sharing Server, and Time Machine Server) are already bundled with every copy of macOS High Sierra and later, so customers will still have access to them. Existing macOS Server customers can still download and use the app with macOS Monterey.[2]

MacDrive is a program that enables your PC to display, read and write any Mac disk (HFS+ format of partition) installed on your PC under the Windows environment, which enables perfect file sharing between Mac and Windows systems. It is essentially a disk management tool designed to bridge the communication gap between Windows and Mac disks, giving you free access to Mac disks directly from Windows Explorer.

The Ports framework provides the drm graphics drivers necessary for X11 operation on recent hardware.Users can use one of the following drivers available from graphics/drm-kmod.These drivers use interfaces in the kernel that are normally private. As such, it is strongly recommended that the drivers be built via the ports system via the PORTS_MODULES variable. With PORTS_MODULES, every time you build the kernel, the corresponding port(s) containing kernel modules are re-built against the updated sources. This ensures the kernel module stays in-sync with the kernel itself. The kernel and ports trees should be updated together for maximum compatibility. You can add PORTS_MODULES to your /etc/make.conf file to ensure all kernels you build rebuild this module.Advanced users can add it to their kernel config files with the makeoptions directive. If you run GENERIC and use freebsd-update, you can just build the graphics/drm-kmod or x11/nvidia-driver port after each freebsd-update install invocation.

Xorg has built in support for rendering TrueType fonts. There are two different modules that can enable this functionality. The freetype module is used in this example because it is more consistent with the other font rendering back-ends.To enable the freetype module just add the following line to the "Module" section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

TestDisk is powerful free data recovery software! It was primarily designed to help recover lost partitions and/or make non-booting disks bootable again when these symptoms are caused by faulty software: certain types of viruses or human error (such as accidentally deleting a Partition Table). Partition table recovery using TestDisk is really easy.

Inside the hard case, you get the ThunderBlade, a Thunderbolt 3 cable, an AC power supply, a quick start guide, and a quick start guide for the SoftRaid software license (SoftRaid comes free as part of the package).

You also have the choice between two different images for download: Offline Image and Network Image. Check the documentation on the download page under Choosing Which Media to Download for more information.

This option is only available when you install from media created from downloaded ISOs. In this case it is recommended to check the integrity of the installation medium. This option starts the installation system before automatically checking the media. In case the check was successful, the normal installation routine starts. If a corrupt media is detected, the installation routine aborts. Replace the broken medium and restart the installation process.

Files from the packages override the files from the original installation media. This means that the update packages might not need to contain all files, only files that have changed. Unchanged files are omitted to save memory and download bandwidth.

The configuration using only PPD files and no other information sources has the advantage that the PPD files in /usr/share/cups/model can be modified freely. For example, if you have PostScript printers the PPD files can be copied directly to /usr/share/cups/model (if they do not already exist in the manufacturer-PPDs or OpenPrintingPPDs-postscript packages) to achieve an optimum configuration for your printers.

If the manufacturer-PPDs or OpenPrintingPPDs-postscript packages do not contain a suitable PPD file for a PostScript printer, it should be possible to use the PPD file from the driver CD of the printer manufacturer or download a suitable PPD file from the Web page of the printer manufacturer.

A delta RPM consists only of the binary diff between two defined versions of a package, and therefore has the smallest download size. Before being installed, the full RPM package is rebuilt on the local machine.

Each repository provides files describing content of the repository (package names, versions, etc.). These repository description files are downloaded to a local cache that is used by YaST. To ensure their integrity, software repositories can be signed with the GPG Key of the repository maintainer. Whenever you add a new repository, YaST offers the ability to import its key.

When refreshing a repository, its content description (package names, versions, etc.) is downloaded to a local cache that is used by YaST. It is sufficient to do this once for static repositories such as CDs or DVDs, whereas repositories whose content changes often should be refreshed frequently. The easiest way to keep a repository's cache up to date is to choose Automatically Refresh. To do a manual refresh click Refresh and select one of the options.

Packages from remote repositories are downloaded before being installed. By default, they are deleted upon successful installation. Activating Keep Downloaded Packages prevents the deletion of downloaded packages. The download location is configured in /etc/zypp/zypp.conf, by default it is /var/cache/zypp/packages.

The Priority of a repository is a value between 1 and 200, with 1 being the highest priority and 200 the lowest priority. Any new repositories that are added with YaST get a priority of 99 by default. If you do not care about a priority value for a certain repository, you can also set the value to 0 to apply the default priority to that repository (99). If a package is available in more than one repository, then the repository with the highest priority takes precedence. This is useful to avoid downloading packages unnecessarily from the Internet by giving a local repository (for example, a DVD) a higher priority.

While the GNOME Package Updater updates packages within the running system (forcing you to restart the respective applications), GNOME Software downloads the updates but only applies them at the next reboot of the system.

By default, updates are downloaded as delta RPMs. Since rebuilding RPM packages from delta RPMs is a memory- and processor-intensive task, certain setups or hardware configurations might require you to disable the use of delta RPMs for the sake of performance. 2ff7e9595c
